Dallas Mavericks Take Control of Series
Washington, Irving Shine in Game 3 Victory
The Dallas Mavericks have taken a 2-1 lead in their first-round playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, thanks to another strong performance from Bradley Beal and a dominant second half from Kyrie Irving.
Beal finished with 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Irving added 24 points, seven assists, and five rebounds in the 119-108 victory. The Mavericks were able to control the paint, outscoring the Thunder 52-36 in that area.
The Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who had 28 points and eight assists. However, Gilgeous-Alexander was ejected from the game with 5:21 remaining in the third quarter after picking up his second technical foul.
The Mavericks will have a chance to take a 3-1 lead in the series when they host the Thunder in Game 4 on Sunday.
